When your computer or laptop is slow or not working at all, you need it fixed fast and done right the first time, LTi Computer Services is here!  We offer a full range of PC Computer diagnostics and repair services.  We also repair and upgrade latptops and Microsoft Windows servers too!

LTi Computer Services can come to you and provide on location laptop and computer repairs and upgrades or you can save money buy dropping off at our easy access Manassas Virginia Office Computer Repair Facility. We also can provide pick up and delivery of equipment for an additional charge.

 

Our Drop Off rate for computer and laptop repair and/or upgrades is $80 per hour. Hours and Location for Computer Repair Service

 

Our Onsite (at your location) rate for laptop or computer repair and upgrades is $105 per hour.

 

Pickup and delivery is $25 plus $.50 per mile, plus time to dismantle and reassemble if desired.  Parking and tolls additional.

Computer Repairs:

Generally computer repairs fall into two categories.  Hardware and Software.

 

 

 

Hardware Repairs: Hardware repairs can range from the simple, it doesn't work to the highly complex, it works sometimes.  Screens on laptops crack, Network Cards go bad, hard disks fail.  We can handle it all.  A quick assesment, free if dropped off at our location,  will get you a quote before any charges occur. In a worst case scenario we can recover data from most failed systems and assist you with purchase of a replacement.

 

Software Repairs: Operating System and Applications can get corrupted over time, it is rare, but does happen.  More likely, virus, malware, spyware or adware is effecting your system. Removing viruses can be tricky, even with good up-to-date Anti-Virus in place.  Sometimes a complete rebuild is required to assure an infection free system. 

Suspect a Virus Tips:

If you suspect you have a virus, and do not feel confident you can fix the problem, here is what you can do to help us, help you.

1) Turn off Computer

2) While it is still fresh in your memory write down the following:

  • What you were doing at the time
  • Where you were if not at home
  • If on the Internet what site you were at or if you clicked on a pop up window
  • If loading a program, what program

3) Bring the computer to us 

Computer Upgrades:

Is your computer suffering from slow performance? Reporting new errors? Does it crash and reboot without warning?

You may need a new computer right?

 Wrong!

 Most computers for small office and home users are fine; they just may need a little attention. Simple low cost upgrades to memory, disks and/or video hardware can drastically improve performance for a fraction of the cost of a new computer. 
 

Sometimes It may be that only patches, updates to software and drivers and general electronic and physical cleaning are needed to restore the out-of-box pep that it once had.
 

If you really must have the newest and shiniest computer, before you toss the old one into the landfill consider the following:

  1. Can it be repurposed as game or web browsing only machine to keep the kids away from the Taxes...
  2. Is there a relative or friend that may benefit from a cleaned and tuned PC
  3. Try to sell it or give it away on Craigslist or other classified websites
  4. Is there a local organization, religious group or school that might take as donation
     

NOTE:  Before doing any of the above, make sure ALL data is erased, not just deleted.  Deleting a file only keeps honest people honest.  There are hundreds of free utilities to recovered deleted files.

Licensing and Piracy - for any software issues that require reinstallation, including operating system software, the customer must provide or purchase appropriate licensed software or proof of such. Usually a computer purchased with legal Microsoft License will have holographic license stickers attached.

Privacy - Logis-Tech and its employees will not copy without your permission any user documents, images, music,or data, nor will we search for such information without need to effect repair of the system.

Tips For Selecting Provider:

Price should not be the only factor when selecting an Computer Repair or Upgrade Company.  Here are some others:

  1. Years in Business
  2. Screened Employees
  3. Physical Location or Out of House/Car
  4. Documented Privacy Policy
  5. Published Rates
  6. Certifications and Degrees
  7. Warranty on Work
  8. Liabiltiy Insurance

And my favorite quesiton to ask some of the techs from the national and regional IT companies... Are you allowed to work on your own corporate machines?  Usually the answer is a resounding  "NO".  Some shiny car franchises simpy require you to buy a territory and pay a monthly fee or royalty and give just a few weeks of training and you are an IT Expert.
